Hi there! What's it like living in Japan? Is the cost of living there expensive or is it economical? :)
Hi! I really do love it. I’m kind of in the country, so it’s not very expensive. It’s easy to save money. Food can be pricey, though. If I were in a bigger city, it’d be a different story. It’s easy to get around, too, because trains are everywhere.
But I’m close to the ocean, and can see it from my school. I get distracted in school a lot, lol. The kids a generally pretty great, and people in general are just so nice. You cannot get better customer service than in Japan. Everyone is SO nice and polite and will do whatever they can to help.
My only problem, I guess, it the isolation. There aren’t many non-Japanese people, so you get stared at a lot, and it’s easy to get homesick because everything is so foreign.
All in all though, I do love the country, and I will miss it a lot when I leave. <3
“So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays.”— John Keating, Dead Poet’s Society (via thegirlwiththemessyhair)
